ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE PARISH PRIEST’S DESK
Next Sunday, 7th September is the Parish Children/Youth Harvest. In view of this there will be no Children’s Mass next Sunday. Our Masses will be at 6;30am; 8:30am and 10:30am. There will be Benediction at 5:00pm and Evening Mass at 6:00pm. We seek for our support.

The 9th Provincial Chapter of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus, North Western Province will take place at the Provincialate in Lagos, from August 30th to September 7th, 2025. Parishioners are all invited for the Opening Mass here at Our Parish on Monday, 1st September. Time for Mass is 10:00am. Note that the Handmaids Sisters are the ones working in the Parish. Let us support them. In view of the Mass, there will be no Afternoon Mass tomorrow. Also, on Tuesday, there will be no Afternoon Mass because of the Priests’ Deanery Meeting.

The Parish Priest is appealing to those who are fond of using handsets and chatting while Mass is going on to desist from doing so. The Church Wardens are to enforce this.

The Parish Priest informs Parents and Guardians that no Child should be taken to the Gallery during Masses. Church Wardens should make sure that this is enforced.

We remind Parishioners that the Small Christian Community (SCC) gathering is on Tuesdays. Time is 7:00pm. Do please identify yourself with any SCC closer to where you live.

The Parish Priest is thanking all those who continuously, painlessly and silently support the Parish financially. May the Lord continue to meet you at every moment of your needs. Amen.

Harvest of Mercy: The Lord Has Been Merciful to Us  
The Parish Priest and the 2025 Harvest Organizing Committee sincerely thank all Parishioners, Friends, and Well-Wishers for the love and support shown during our Seed Sowing Exercise last Sunday. We pray that the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, will grant all our petitions and answer our prayers, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We also kindly appeal to those who made pledges to please redeem them as soon as possible. Your support is vital to the success of all our upcoming Harvest activities.
The Parish Priest and members of the 2025 Harvest Organizing Committee wish to thank and appreciate our dear Parishioners for their esteem support for the Harvest Programmes. We also want to inform us that our next programme is our Children funfair a day earmark to celebrate and make our Children feel good and stand out. In light of this, we request for financial support and sponsorship. Kindly meet members of the harvest committee for further details or redemption of your pledge. May God continue to bless you as you help in celebrating our children through Christ our Lord, Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENT 
Next Sunday 7th September is tithe Sunday. Parishioners are encouraged to come prepare to pay their tithe. Kindly pick up tithe envelopes from the Security Post or Parish Office. 

Novena in preparation for the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is ongoing and will run through Saturday 6th September, 2025. The Feast proper will be celebrated on Sunday 7th September, 2025. Mass will be held at the Grotto at 6:30pm on that day. The Devotional Committee is kindly requesting donations of refreshment items such as Cakes, Drinks, Biscuits and Sacramental which will be distributed during the celebration. Please drop your contributions at the Security Post or the Parish Office. 

This is to inform all women in the parish that 2025 Women Convention will hold on Sunday 5th October, 2025 at 10:30am followed by activities and reception at the Event Centre. On this note all women are expected to pay a levy of #2000 or more to organize it.

Parishioners are hereby informed that Adult Confirmation Classes have resumed for all participants. Kindly note that attendance is compulsory and failure to attend classes, there will be no reception of the Sacrament.

The Parish Laity Council wishes to inform Parishioners that there will be Laity 5th Sunday collection today in all the Masses. Kindly give generously. Also, the general meeting comes up same today at the Large Conference Hall by 12:30pm. All Councillors should take note and be punctual. Kindly note there is a punitive action against whoever comes late or absent without a reasonable excuse.

This is to inform Parishioners that registration into Catechism Classes is still on-going every Sunday by 2:30pm and will run through 28th September, 2025. Parents and Guardians should please take note. 

This is to inform all Parishioners that the Parish Laity Business Center has started for public use. You can do your typing, printing and photocopy etc. At the moment it’s located at the Parish Laity Office just by the Grotto of Mother of Sorrows. Kindly publicize this for more patronage. It’s our let’s patronize the business. 

Lumen Christi College Maya, Ikorodu and Austica Memorial College, Anambra State forms are available at the Parish Office at the rate of #10,000 (Ten thousand naira) and #5000 (Five thousand naira) respectively. Kindly pickup for your Child/Ward.
