ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE PARISH PRIEST’S DESK

 Registration as a Parishioner and Renewal of membership card for the year 2026 is on-going in the Parish Office. Adults is #500 while Youths is #300

 Today is the Sunday of the Word of God. Enthronement of the Bible will take place during the 6.30am Mass, while the Blessing of Bible will take place at all the Masses. We are all encouraged to enthrone the Bible in our homes and Pray the Bible.

 The Archbishop will be having Pastoral visit to Surulere Deanery from Monday, 9th February – Sunday, 15th February, 2026. He will be in the Parish on Wednesday, 11th February by 4.00pm and to depart on Thursday, 12th February by 10.00am. Details of his activities in the Parish will be announced later. However, we are all expected to get ready for his visit to the Parish.

 The Parish Priest is thanking all those who continuously, painlessly and silently support the Parish financially. May the Lord continue to meet you at every moment of your needs. Amen.  

 The Parish Priest is appealing to those who are fond of using handsets and chatting while Mass is going on to desist from doing so. The Church Wardens are to enforce this.

 The Parish Priest informs Parents and Guardians that no Child should be taken to the Gallery during Masses. Church Wardens should make sure that this is enforced.

 We remind Parishioners that the Small Christian Community (SCC) gathering is on Tuesdays. Time is 7:00pm. Do please identify yourself with any SCC closer to where you live.

 The Parish Office is opened today for our convenience. 

 The Missionary Children Association (MCA) gathering is on Saturdays. We appeal to Parents and Guardians to bring the Children to the Parish. Time is 1.30pm.

 The Parish Priest reminds Societies and Organizations of the elections coming up next month. Do please get your hand-over reports ready.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

 The Young Christian Workers Movement will have their monthly general meeting today immediately after the 8:30am Mass at Handmaids International School. New members are welcome.

 The ten Catholic Secondary School forms are available for sale at the Parish Office at the rate of #10,000 (Ten thousand naira) only. Kindly purchase for your Child/Ward.

 MOD training comes up every Saturday at Handmaids International Catholic School immediately after Morning Mass. New members are welcome.

 Parishioners are invited to the Novena in honour of the Presentation of our Lord Jesus Christ in the temple which is on-going and will run through Monday 2nd February, 2026 after the Morning in front of the Grotto.
